TDP Championship Winning Mapping
Pre-dyno checklist
Review these checks before completing your booking request and again before your appointment. Tell us about anything you cannot check or complete.
Your pre-dyno checks
- Fuel: A full tank of the appropriate fuel you intend to run.
- Fluid levels: Check engine oil, coolant and brake-fluid levels.
- Cooling system: Coolant fully bled, overflow bottle fitted and at the correct level.
- Leaks: No fluid leaks. Oil and coolant can be spread by the dyno fans, creating fire and health-and-safety hazards. If your car causes a large mess requiring chemical cleaning, the checklist specifies a charge of one hour’s labour.
- Radiator fan: Installed and working. Clearly mark any manual fan switch.
- Clutch: Able to handle the target power, correctly adjusted, with the required free play on the clutch fork where applicable.
- Electrical system: Alternator charging correctly and a healthy battery.
- Spark plugs: In good condition. Bring a spare set if plugs have fouled previously.
- Wheel-lock key: Available and brought with the vehicle.
Details to have ready
The original checklist records your name, date and registration or chassis number. Note any relevant issues or past problems and tell us about them when booking.
What not to do
- Do not assume an unchecked item is ready. Explain what remains to be checked.
- Do not arrive with known leaks, faults or unfinished work without declaring them and agreeing the required work with TDP.
- Do not put ECU passwords or payment details in the online booking form.
- Do not treat a submitted request as a confirmed appointment. TDP will contact you to confirm arrangements.
Read the preparation guide for the full guidance on forced induction, standalone ECU installations, workshop capacity, additional work and vehicle collection.
