<p>The well known TDP Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI wins yet another event in the hands of its creator and owner Robbie Thornton.</p>
<p>In very mixed weather conditions on St Patrick&#8217;s day in Mondello Park Robbie drove the car to Victory in a one lap final.</p>
<p>The Evo was entered in the new Mondello Park Unlimited Class.  This allowed Robbie to use his extensive Motorsport knowledge in setting up the car for a wet final.  Robbie&#8217;s tire choice also helped him to find a full 3 seconds over the next Unlimited car.</p>
<p>Just to show the conditions on the day here is a Video form the first Qualifying Session.  We will be posting the In-car form the Final shortly.</p>

<p>Trackday Performance Backs Time-Attack Championship<br />

As part of the re-vitalisation of the Irish Time-Attack championship Mondello Park is pleased to announce that the series will have its first ever title sponsor in place in time for 2012 Round 1 on Saturday March 17th.</p>
<p>This season Ireland&#8217;s premier Tuning and Race Preparation specialists Trackday Performance (TDP), will lend their backing to the championship which sees drivers in modified road cars take to the track to see who is quickest over a single lap. The Pro and Club divisions of the seven round series will now be known as the &#8216;Trackday Performance Pro Series&#8217; and the &#8216;Trackday Performance Club Series&#8217;.</p>
<p>The support of TDP will allow the championship&#8217;s organisers to achieve their aim of reducing entry fees and providing drivers with incentives to compete such as free entries at Jap-Fest for regular competitors and complimentary garage spaces at most events. In addition all registered competitors will be entitled to a free item of championship clothing.</p>
<p>The new &#8216;Unlimited&#8217; category, aimed at Tuners looking to develop their show cars through competition, will retain Mondello Park backing and will become the &#8216;Mondello Park Unlimited Series&#8217;. The top prize for this class will go to the Car Tuner rather than the driver with the winning team receiving a free half day &#8216;Car Track Day&#8217; which they will be able to use for their own customers or for their private use. In addition all tuners who compete in at least four of the seven events will receive a number of free track time places for their, or their customers use.</p>
<p>Speaking on the announcement of the 2012 series sponsorship, Mondello Park MD John Morris expressed his delight at TDP&#8217;s  involvement saying  “ I’ve known Robbie for a long time and have been a great admirer of how he has grown Trackday Performance into the company it is today, TDP is represented in all the top forms of Motorsport and we’re delighted to welcome them as title sponsor of the 2012 Series”</p>
<p>TDP MD Robbie Thornton also said, “We have been involved in Time-Attack since the very start. We have had great success along the way in all classes, to the pinnacle in 2009 with 1st and 2nd place in the pro championship and 1st place in the club championship. Since then we have concentrated on other disciplines.  We hope that or involvement in 2012 will help to revitalise the series . I personally look forward to competing at as many rounds as possible in the Unlimited Class using the 2009 championship winning Mitsubishi Evo VI or the TDP Skyline GTR R32.”</p>
<p>The addition of Trackday Performance to the Irish Time-Attack championship&#8217;s sponsors, joining Mondello Park and Vehicle Graphics specialists SignFX, is a further endorsement of the revised series. With new regulations, lower costs, including cheaper entry fees and improved championship awards, 2012 should be one of the strongest seasons yet for Irish Time-Attack.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p> 	We have been involved in drifting for a very long time.  Over this time we have pushed the boundaries year after year with our &#8221; Championship Winning Engine Mapping&#8221;.  Now are engine and turbo package&#8217;s are pushing it even further.  We have come to the point that for our customers to get best out of the engine and mapping packages they need better suspension geometry setups.</p>
<p>We have been working on various ways of making a better designed front steering setup.  We have had great results from modifying the sub frame and hubs to allow for more lock.  Now we need to push further to reduce &#8220;ackerman&#8221; angle and camber change on the wheels at high lock angles while still maintaining maximum grip in a straight line for braking.</p>
<p>To achieve all of our goals we started with a clean slate.  We would design everything needed from scratch.</p>
<p>To do this we started by using our &#8220;Microscribe MX&#8221; portable &#8220;CMM&#8221; to measure all the necessary points and attributes on a Nissan S Body. </p>
<p>Here you can see the &#8220;Microscribe MX&#8221; portable &#8220;CMM&#8221; setup in the center of the wheel arch were it can reach all pints to be measured. </p>

<p>Once all the desired point are measured we get a 3 Veiws of the Job that we can use to create the Solid-model.</p>

<p>We then spent weeks designing all the parts and then adjusting the different point to get the geometry we wanted.</p>
<p>The final results looks like this.</p>
<p>58-59 Degrees of lock with a 18&#8243;x10&#8243;j with 255 40 18&#8243; Tyre and up to 67 Degrees lock with a 18&#8243;or17&#8243;x8&#8243;j with 225 40 18&#8243; Tyre.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p> 	Held every year on the 27th December the Sprint is one of the most popular on the calender as everyone is off work and looking to get out of the house.</p>
<p>Rumour has it there was 150+ entries on the day and the club did a great job running the event.</p>
<p>David James form Gorey is not stranger to driving the TDP evo.  He has won every sprint he has started in Mondello in the car.</p>
<p>Due to running early on a wet slippy track and having a small run-in with a tyre wall David had to work hard for the win.  After 2 runs he was down 1 second to the nearest competitor.</p>
<p>He had it all to do on the last run with the power steering pump failing on the car he would have to try hard.</p>

<p>We are proud to announce the release of our new TDP adjustable camber arms.  We have invested a massive number of hours on the R &#038; D and the sourcing of all the right grades of materials and rod ends (rose joints).</p>
<p>Our new Rear Top Camber Arms will fit Nissan S14/S15 &#038; R33/R34.  They may also fit S13 &#038; R32 depending on the coil-overs.  Please contact us for further information.  </p>
<p>The adjustment range is 0mm (same as std.) to 50mm longer to reduce negative camber on cars lowered 100+mm. </p>
<p>Each kit will consist of: </p>
<p>2 aerospace quality billet camber arms CNC machined to 0.01mm accuracy and inspected by CMM (co-ordinate measuring machine).</p>
<p>2 In-situe adjusters made from high tensile aerospace stainless steel with lock nuts made of same material.</p>
<p>2 Fluro 16mm Rod Ends with high dynamic load bearing material.  With lock nuts made from high tensile aerospace stainless steel.</p>
<p>2 Reducers with 12mm holes to fit &#038; space the rose joints on the frame.</p>
<p>2 M12 high tensile bolts (12.9 grade) &#038; M12 Nylock nuts for the hub end with washers.</p>
<p>2 M12 high tensile bolts (12.9 grade) &#038; M12 Nylock nuts and special stainless steel washers to remove the original Nissan camber adjustment.</p>

<p>As you can see the angle on the in-situe adjuster and rod end gives extra clearance on the chassis legs for exceptionally low cars. </p>

<p>Now fitted to an S14 running pretty low.  The chassis to adjuster / rod end clearance is massive.  This allows the car to be lowered more than any other camber arm currently on the market.</p>

<p>As this is a Motorsport part we won&#8217;t warranty crash damage but will warranty the adjuster and rod end against wear for 12 months as long as it has been installed and maintained in accordance with the fitting instructions.  All parts will be available separately in case of accidental damage by the user.</p>
